Well I'm not very good at consistantly blogging, but I do try every once in a while. I've been thinking lately of all my friends and wanted to send a note out to them all. Well here it goes!
To my friends:
Amber – I can’t tell you in words how proud I am of you. I saw the struggles you faced and look where you are now… married to a wonderful man and expecting a little boy. What an inspiration you are! I want to let you know how wonderful it was and is to be your friend. The epiphany of high school senior memories was spent with you: Sci Fi class with Mr. Brady, Senior Prom, Graduation. All such great memories! We drifted apart somewhere after that and now we are many states away, but I’m so glad to be in your life and be your friend again. You are truly a wonderful person. I am so excited for your new family and hope to always be your friend!
Jessica and Jaleh – I put you two together because all through elementary school I think we were literally attached at the hip! LOL We all have separate lives now that all seem so different, yet through it all we are still the best of friends. I don’t think a day goes by were a memory of us doesn’t’ pop up in my head. Especially when life starts to get hard: Car breaks down, bills pile up, babies crying, dinner is burning, and I think about how much easier it was being a kid. Our biggest worry was who’s house we where sleeping over at this weekend. I couldn’t imagine my childhood without you two in it, and I couldn’t imagine my life now without you either! You both have shared in my most life changing moments – my wedding and my baby (baby shower 1 week before counts ) I know we will be friends forever! I hope life will allow us to enjoy many more amazing trips and memories together like Fresno, and Yosemite!
Marcus – (I know you’re still on your mission and you won’t read this for a while) Thanks for being a great friends and a truly great guy. I will always remember ice cream at midnight at Carriage Square Park with Mike O. and Rebeka after the movie and Pirates Pizza, and for some reason I remember the chocolate milk conversation on your birthday! You are a great friend!
Aaron – Through time apart and life choices have distanced us; I wanted to let you know what a great friend you are and how important you are to me. First of all I can’t thank you enough for convincing me to “come to the dark side” and join early morning seminary. They truly are some of my best high school memories. Now my head is full of odd memories like staying up all night IMing about random stuff like pixie stix, you using fake blood for the blood typing test in forensics, and getting pulled over on our way to San Francisco when the cop thought you were drunk LOL! After high school you truly were my best friend. The only person I knew I could call at midnight to come with me to walk my dog because yes midnight was the only time I could take her to the dog park and let her run around like a Tasmanian devil. Then you would listen as I ranted and complained about whatever and what a joy when I found out I could be that same person for you and the role could be reversed. That may all be different now, but I’m grateful for everything. You have a truly amazing testimony that has strengthened mine countless times. Thanks for being my friend. I don’t think I’ll ever truly be forgiven for losing that bet (can this count as my public apology? ), but I miss your friendship and hope one day things will change.
Teri – I just have to say thank you for who you are! Half the time I don’t know what you’re saying or who you’re quoting, but you always make me laugh. Thanks for always being the other girl when we went to hang out with our weird ward boys Don’t ever lose your sense of humor, it makes you such and wonderful amazing person. I know this equation to be true YOU + EMILY + GIRLSCAMP = HILARIOUS! Your faith and testimony of the gospel has touched me and I will for always be grateful. Congratulations on your engagement! I wish you all of the very best!
Mike – To have you just as a friend would have been great, but to know I have more that than that is amazing. We share a love that most would freely give up anything for, I know I would. Every one of these people listed before you I have known longer, but we have spent nearly 1000 days together straight! Crazy huh? I know you know me the best. You even know all the buttons to push to make me mad or drive me crazy, but you are truly my best friend. I share with you all my fondest memories. I could not imagine my life without you. I love you more than anything… or I guess ‘I love you like a fish loves water.’
