More of the Belly

Well I had a doctors appointment on the 5th of this month. I got there at 10am when my appointment was scheduled and I waited in the waiting room until just after 10:30am. Finally they called me in the the doctors room and told me to strip down and cover with the large papertowel thingie. I waited like that until 11:00am when the doctor fianlly showed up. My doctor dosn't fool around and went straight to do the vaginal ultrasound. First thing she says is "Wow! That's a big baby!" Well apparently when I called in for the appointment they had put the wrong estimated due date in the computer and I was farther along then they thought. The doctor then decided she could get a better look with the regular ultrasound. Thank goodness! She took a few measurments and said my estimated due date of September 26th was good. Mike and I got to see the baby wiggling around, but unfortuantly I didn't really get a good look. This was all done in about 2 minutes. She asked if I had any questions and then she was gone. Soooo... I guess my appointment was really more of a 'confirmation of pregnanacy' appointment. Anyway, my 'official' ultrasound is scheduled for May 5th and we will be able to find out the gender and get some pictures. Until then enjoy these Prego pictures of me at 16 weeks :)

Little Baby Bump

Okay, It's finally time to put these up! BELLY PICS! I'm 12 weeks and 3 days and I'm defenitly showing alot sooner this time. It's just a little baby bump, but it's there. Second trimester will be here soon and I know I will be feeling like a million bucks!

Weather Warming up!

Ahhh... I love when the weather warms up. Evelyn does too! This last weekend Mike built a very nice chicken coop for our new little chicks... spring chicks I'm so excited :) Evelyn helps feed them and calls them 'peep peep' but she dosen't like when the really friendly ones try to peck her shoes.

Evelyn also likes to feed the fish in my pond. My dad built the waterfall and it's a nice realaxing place to sit in the summer. In a couple weeks I will be getting some plants and flowers to plant around the pond and it will be my little oasis. After all the chores are done Evelyn likes to play on the trampoline, she always says "mama up" to get me to join her :) She's jumps around saying 'bounce bounce'!Electric Hair! Evelyn loves when the weather warms up and she can play outside. I can't wait for summer to be able to get her little pool and water toys out! I know she can't wait either!

Sonic Speed Life

Wow time can fly so fast sometimes! My work asked me to come back early this year, so I am now working part time at the State Park again. It's a good thing because now I can get my benifeits a bit earlier. I am 12 weeks pregnant now... morning sickness is starting to lessen. I'm very pleased to say that I have not prayed to the porcelain god once this entire pregnancy. I think that has to do with the many things I learned when I was pregnant with Evelyn. My energy is slowly returning and my face is not breaking out anymore! Yeah here I come second trimester! My first doctors appointment is scheduled for April 5th and I'm very excited. Mike and I got our midterm grades and I have an A+ in Physcology and an A in English; Mike does too, but mine are higher =P. I'm very proud of my self :) Everything seems to be going along at sonic speed, but we are all doing great. I'm going to try to post some more of our recent and past ventures on here. We took family pictures last week and I will be posting them soon as well!

What did I get myself into?

I've been horrible at updating my blog, but I've been very busy.

Evelyn is nearing 16 months and is doing pretty good keeping me on my toes. It's amazing to watch her learn new things everyday. How wrong they were about terrible twos... oh it starts much sooner then that! I swear she's never seen another child throw a temper tantrum, but can perform one perfectly. Hitting and headbutting is an issue we are currently working on. But my goodness can that girls smile and bright blue eyes melt your heart. She's getting better at communicating, she is even beggining to put words together. Hopfully less frustration should mean less temper. For the most part she is a very happy girl who is very quick to please her Mommy and Daddy.

Mike and I are taking 2 classes at WNC this semester... after almost 3 years with no school, going back is a bit of a shock. But we have some good teachers and it's been fun taking the classess together. Staying up late 2 nights a week does take it's toll though, especially since it's a 45 minute drive home...after we pick up Evelyn. We know in the end it will be well worth it.

Now that I'm nearing 8 weeks into my pregnancy, I'm starting to wonder what I got myself into. Morning sickness and fatigue are alot worse this time. I'm wondering if I'll be able to handle more then one kid! Right now I'm not working, so it should be easier for me right? But I do have a zoo at my house currently... 4 dogs, 9 adult rabbits and 15 babies, 4 rats, a pond full of fish, and now 9 chicks. Plus I have a husband and a child. Everything outside is muddy, which means I have to sweep and mop almost daily and I've steam cleaned my carpet too many times to count in the last couple months. I'm defenitly kept busy! But on top of all that I start work again in April full time. Hopfully by then my morning sickness and fatigue will be gone. Let's hope I can learn to be super woman by then... House cleaner, Student, Employee, Zoo keeper, Gardner, Mother, Wife, and all the while pregnant.

Habits

There are days at work that you actually wish you had something to work on... today is one of those days. Well it has been a while since I've written anything anywhere including my journal... I am WAY behind and I use to do daily entries. Well I was thinking recently of something I was taught and thought it would be good to implement it into my life again. Studies show it takes 21 days (consecetive) to form a habit (good or bad). I don't really have any bad habits to get rid of, but I have been lazy in a few areas I would like to improve and a few new habits I would like to improve.

1. Daily Prayer (Morning and Night)
2. Daily Scripture Study
3. Wake up 20 minutes earlier
4. Walk with Evelyn to park or post office (daily)
5. Exercise 3 times a week

I've created a calander to keep track of how I do. I'm hoping my husband will be the good modivator I need him to be. Got to have faith in myself :)

In other news... Evelyn will be ONE in less than a month! I can't believe how quickly the time has gone by. I'm planning a little birthday party for her, but I can't decided if I want to make it Halloween themed or not. My dad and grandparents will be coming in to town the weekend before her B-day so that's when I want to do it. I can't wait! Actually October is going to be a very busy month. On the 10th we are going to 6 Flags Discovery Kingdom and then on the weekend of the 23rd my Best friends Jessica and Jaleh are flying in for the weekend! And some where in all this activity I want to plan a trip to Apple Hill. I need some yummy yummy apple cider :) My life is full of adventure!

For My Best Friends

Well I'm not very good at consistantly blogging, but I do try every once in a while. I've been thinking lately of all my friends and wanted to send a note out to them all. Well here it goes!

To my friends:

Amber – I can’t tell you in words how proud I am of you. I saw the struggles you faced and look where you are now… married to a wonderful man and expecting a little boy. What an inspiration you are! I want to let you know how wonderful it was and is to be your friend. The epiphany of high school senior memories was spent with you: Sci Fi class with Mr. Brady, Senior Prom, Graduation. All such great memories! We drifted apart somewhere after that and now we are many states away, but I’m so glad to be in your life and be your friend again. You are truly a wonderful person. I am so excited for your new family and hope to always be your friend!

Jessica and Jaleh – I put you two together because all through elementary school I think we were literally attached at the hip! LOL We all have separate lives now that all seem so different, yet through it all we are still the best of friends. I don’t think a day goes by were a memory of us doesn’t’ pop up in my head. Especially when life starts to get hard: Car breaks down, bills pile up, babies crying, dinner is burning, and I think about how much easier it was being a kid. Our biggest worry was who’s house we where sleeping over at this weekend. I couldn’t imagine my childhood without you two in it, and I couldn’t imagine my life now without you either! You both have shared in my most life changing moments – my wedding and my baby (baby shower 1 week before counts ) I know we will be friends forever! I hope life will allow us to enjoy many more amazing trips and memories together like Fresno, and Yosemite!

Marcus – (I know you’re still on your mission and you won’t read this for a while) Thanks for being a great friends and a truly great guy. I will always remember ice cream at midnight at Carriage Square Park with Mike O. and Rebeka after the movie and Pirates Pizza, and for some reason I remember the chocolate milk conversation on your birthday! You are a great friend!

Aaron – Through time apart and life choices have distanced us; I wanted to let you know what a great friend you are and how important you are to me. First of all I can’t thank you enough for convincing me to “come to the dark side” and join early morning seminary. They truly are some of my best high school memories. Now my head is full of odd memories like staying up all night IMing about random stuff like pixie stix, you using fake blood for the blood typing test in forensics, and getting pulled over on our way to San Francisco when the cop thought you were drunk LOL! After high school you truly were my best friend. The only person I knew I could call at midnight to come with me to walk my dog because yes midnight was the only time I could take her to the dog park and let her run around like a Tasmanian devil. Then you would listen as I ranted and complained about whatever and what a joy when I found out I could be that same person for you and the role could be reversed. That may all be different now, but I’m grateful for everything. You have a truly amazing testimony that has strengthened mine countless times. Thanks for being my friend. I don’t think I’ll ever truly be forgiven for losing that bet (can this count as my public apology? ), but I miss your friendship and hope one day things will change.

Teri – I just have to say thank you for who you are! Half the time I don’t know what you’re saying or who you’re quoting, but you always make me laugh. Thanks for always being the other girl when we went to hang out with our weird ward boys  Don’t ever lose your sense of humor, it makes you such and wonderful amazing person. I know this equation to be true YOU + EMILY + GIRLSCAMP = HILARIOUS! Your faith and testimony of the gospel has touched me and I will for always be grateful. Congratulations on your engagement! I wish you all of the very best!

Mike – To have you just as a friend would have been great, but to know I have more that than that is amazing. We share a love that most would freely give up anything for, I know I would. Every one of these people listed before you I have known longer, but we have spent nearly 1000 days together straight! Crazy huh? I know you know me the best. You even know all the buttons to push to make me mad or drive me crazy, but you are truly my best friend. I share with you all my fondest memories. I could not imagine my life without you. I love you more than anything… or I guess ‘I love you like a fish loves water.’
